Stopping Those Spammers

As most of us are aware, spamming is truly becoming quite an issue for all of us. Not a day goes by where we don’t receive some form of spam in our inbox. Whether it be for something that’s worthwhile or something completely explicit, its still spam all the same. One way of stopping the spammers from getting our email addresses is to hide them on our websites. Here is a quick tip for implementing such a solution.
The simple solution is to use a JavaScript based encoder tool such as the Hivelogic Enkoder. This encoder helps protect email addresses on websites by converting them into encrypted JavaScript code thus hiding them from email-harvesting robots while revealing them to real people.
How does this work? Well, to put it simply, the code is encrypted on the server-side and is decrypted at the client-side such as within your Internet browser. It’s a simple but very effective way of stopping the spammers from finding your email addresses. Unfortunately, if you have already had your email address posted on your website, then it probably won’t help all that much, however it will hide it from any future bots trying to find your email.
Implementing this feature is quite simple, however some of you may need to speak to your web designer for assistance. Primarily we are interested in converting the link to our email address on our website to an encoded JavaScript code and then posting it on our website. For more information on how to do this and to use the encoder itself, please visit http://hivelogic.com/enkoder/.
Once you have retrieved the encoded script, simply place it on your website through your preferred editor in place of your existing email address link or text. This way users will still be able to email you quickly and easily but spam bots will no longer find your email address. Finally a solution that works!
